Communities of Practice: Join us for the final meetings of 2026

With eight Communities of Practice meetings between now and the end of November, there's never been a better time to connect with colleagues, share ideas and learn from experts across cancer nursing.

As 2026 draws to a close, our Communities of Practice (CoPs) are coming together for their final meetings of the year. From prehabilitation research and survivorship care to education, leadership and rare cancers, there's a session for every corner of cancer nursing. Whether you're a regular attendee or haven't joined a meeting yet, we'd love to see you there.

Coming Up Soon: Gastrointestinal CoP

With Professor Kate White, presenting her research: Patient perspectives on adherence to a virtual multimodal prehabilitation program in gastrointestinal cancer.

GI Cancers COP

Prehabilitation helps people prepare for cancer treatment, but it only works if patients stick with it. Professor White will share her recently published research on what helps, and what hinders, patients in staying engaged with virtual programs, and what this means for how nurses support them. The evening time slot makes it easy to fit around a clinical shift.

Coming Up Soon: Survivorship CoP
With Professor Gemma McErlean, who will explore: The Contribution of Nurses to Cancer Survivorship Care in Australia.

Nurses play a vital role across the survivorship continuum, yet that contribution isn’t always visible. Professor McErlean will explore the impact nurses are making and the key recommendations of the COSA/CNSA Position Statement, followed by time to share ideas for strengthening survivorship care in your own setting.
