The Nursing Management & Executive Community of Practice brings together cancer nursing leaders, managers and executives to connect, share knowledge and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the cancer nursing workforce.
The Community of Practice provides a space for nursing leaders to share experiences, discuss workforce and healthcare system challenges, and explore strategies to support a highly skilled workforce working to the full scope of practice.
The purpose of this CoP is to:
- Support nursing leadership by sharing knowledge, experiences and approaches to effective leadership and management.
- Strengthen workforce capability and explore opportunities for cancer nurses to work to the full scope of their practice.
- Explore recruitment and retention challenges and strategies for building and sustaining the cancer nursing workforce.
- Discuss job satisfaction and workforce wellbeing and the factors that influence nurses' experiences and engagement.
- Support career progression and professional development across the cancer nursing workforce.
- Explore healthcare system complexities and the internal and external pressures impacting cancer nursing practice and workforce planning.
- Foster collaboration between nursing leaders and identify opportunities to strengthen the future of cancer nursing.
