Cancer Nurses Day

Cancer Nurses Day takes place annually in August - a dedicated moment to recognise, celebrate and shine a light on the extraordinary contribution of cancer nurses across Australia.

Since 2024, we've come together on the second Thursday of August to honour the impact cancer nurses have on patients, families and communities every single day.  And each year, the momentum grows; with more than 8,000 nurses already joining the celebrations nationwide.

From regional sites to major metropolitan hospitals, across NGOs, community settings and beyond - Cancer Nurses Day is about coming together, wherever you are, to recognise the difference cancer nurses make.

Whether it's a simple morning tea, a team photo, cupcakes in the staff room or a full-scale celebration, there's no right or wrong way to get involved.

However you choose to mark the day, we'd love you and your team to be part of Cancer Nurses Day.
