Cancer Nurses Day

Cancer Nurses Day takes place every August and is our chance to shed light on the incredible work being done by the 7,700 cancer nurses nationwide and champion their remarkable contributions to improving patient outcomes in Australia.

Since 2024 we have been celebrating Cancer Nurses Day on the second Thursday of the month in August. Over the last two years more than 8,000 cancer nurses from across Australia have joined us in honouring the invaluable role that cancer nurses play in our healthcare system.

From regional sites to major metropolitan hospitals, to NGOs and consumers. From homebake to cupcakes, morning tea to afternoon tea, and balloons to coloured streamers. However you want to celebrate in your workplace, we’d love you to join the celebrations on Cancer Nurses Day.
