CNSA is delighted to collaborate with Melanoma Institute Australia and Melanoma Patients Australia to create this new CoP. Through the strengthening relationships forged in the development of the Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program, the three organisations have come together to deliver this important opportunity to engage, share knowledge and network with peers.

The purpose of the CoP at a high level will be to:

  1. Enhance national engagement and collaboration through active participation in discussions and activities
  2. Improve the professional knowledge, skills, or practices of community members
  3. Foster collaboration among nurses to enhance patient-centered care, and improved patient outcomes
  4. Increase national awareness of clinical updates and practice changes through the distribution and discussion of peer-reviewed journals
  5. Increase opportunities for presentation to increase nursing confidence and capability in presentation skills
  6. Reduce professional isolation through the fostering of professional connections and collaborations
