Join a Committee

CNSA Committees provide a valuable opportunity to share your knowledge, contribute to meaningful initiatives and make a difference for the cancer nursing community. Discover what’s involved and explore available committee vacancies.

Why join a committee?
  • Connect with the cancer nursing community. Committee involvement provides the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other cancer nurses, gaining insight into the challenges, opportunities and evolving needs of the profession. Build connections with colleagues who share your passion for improving cancer care.
  • Build meaningful professional relationships. Being part of a CNSA Committee brings together people with shared interests and a commitment to advancing cancer nursing. Many Committee members develop lasting professional connections and friendships through their involvement.
  • Have a voice and make a difference. As a Committee member, you can help identify and prioritise the issues that matter most to cancer nurses. Your experience, knowledge and perspective help inform CNSA initiatives and ensure we continue to advocate for the needs of our members.
  • Share knowledge and support education. A key role of our State Groups and Specialist Practice Networks is to facilitate education, develop resources and provide professional development opportunities for cancer nurses. Supported by the CNSA National Office, Committees provide valuable local expertise and clinical insights to help ensure our activities reflect the needs of the membership.
What is the time commitment?

We anticipate Committee involvement will generally require 2-4 hours per month, including a formal meeting and ad hoc email communication. Commitment may vary throughout the year depending on activities such as educational events, projects or other initiatives requiring additional focus.
