Digital Poster Guidelines

Poster Format & Size

  • Posters must be created in PowerPoint (PPT or PPTX format)
  • Slide size must be set to:
    • 16:9 ratio in portrait orientation
    • (e.g. 1080 x 1920 pixels or equivalent)
  • Only one slide per poster

👉 Important: Standard landscape slides will not display correctly - please ensure your slide is rotated to portrait.

Screen Display Considerations

  • Posters will be displayed on 43-inch portrait digital screens
  • Content will be viewed on-screen (not printed), often from ~1–2 metres away

Therefore:

  • Use large, readable fonts (we recommend Arial font)
    • Title: ~60–80pt
    • Headings: ~36–44pt
    • Body text: minimum 24–28pt
  • Keep text concise - avoid large blocks of text
  • Use clear contrast (e.g. dark text on light background)

Layout Tips

  • Design for vertical flow (top to bottom) rather than columns across
  • Use your abstract headings such as:
    • Background / Introduction
    • Aim
    • Design / Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  • Prioritise visuals over text:
    • Graphs, charts, icons
    • Bullet points instead of paragraphs

Images & Media

  • Use high-resolution images (avoid pixelation on large screens)
  • Avoid overly detailed tables - simplify where possible
  • No animations, transitions, or embedded videos

File Uploading

  • Upload your pdf poster via our website
  • File name format:
    • Posternumber_PresenterLastName.pdf
  • Submit by: 12 June 2026
  • File size: under 100MB

Onsite Presentation

  • Posters will be displayed digitally throughout the Congress
  • Presenters will be allocated a 10-minute presentation timeslot
  • During this time, presenters are required to:
    • Stand by their allocated screen
    • Answer any questions
