We’re Supporting You to Get to Congress

Attending Congress is one of the most valuable professional development opportunities available to cancer nurses; and we know that making it happen can sometimes require a little extra support. Download our letter of support or apply for a travel grant - keep reading to find out how.

That’s why, for the 2026 CNSA Annual Congress, we’re not just opening registrations. We’re actively supporting our members to attend.

A Letter of Support for Your Workplace

Many members are required to submit a formal leave or professional development request to attend external education events. To make this process easier, CNSA has developed a Letter of Support template that you can download and personalise.

The letter is designed to:

  • Clearly outline the professional relevance of Congress to your role
  • Highlight how attendance supports safe, evidence-based cancer care
  • Demonstrate alignment with NMBA CPD requirements
  • Articulate service-level benefits including workforce capability and quality improvement

The language is balanced and appropriate for public, private, and non-government health services. You can adapt it to suit your role and local context, and include an optional executive-focused section if your organisation requires a stronger service justification.

If leave approval is your barrier, we want to help you make a strong and professional case.

Travel Grants to Support Access

We also recognise that travel and accommodation can present challenges, particularly for members in regional, rural, and remote areas.

CNSA is offering a number of travel grants to support members who may otherwise be unable to attend. These grants are designed to promote equitable access to professional development and ensure that cancer nurses from all practice settings have the opportunity to participate.
