National Nurse Advisory Opportunities - Influence practice and strengthen patient care.
We know that cancer nurses are central to the patient experience across the cancer care continuum. From treatment initiation and monitoring through to education, supportive care and multidisciplinary coordination, nurses shape how therapies are implemented in real-world practice.
In collaboration with industry, we are providing a range of opportunities to engage and advise; with the first opportunity to inform the practical use of capivasertib in metastatic breast cancer.
Through our partnership with AstraZeneca and Daichhi Sankyo, we are seeking cancer nurses with hands-on clinical experience using capivasertib who are willing to share insights on:
- Real-world patient selection and initiation logistics
- Glucose monitoring approaches
- Adverse event management and dose modifications
- Adherence strategies and patient education
- Practical workflow challenges and opportunities to improve patient experience
The discussion will also explore the resources and tools nurses need to confidently deliver care, and how education, support materials and digital solutions can better align with clinical workflows and patient needs.
This advisory discussion will take place in March, with the final date confirmed based on participant availability. A $150 gift voucher will be provided in recognition of participants’ time and expertise.
Importantly, this is just the beginning. CNSA will be coordinating further nurse advisory opportunities across lung, haematology and gynaecological cancers in the coming months through our national partners. We strongly encourage nurses to get involved and ensure their voice is heard in shaping future education, resources and models of care.
By participating, you contribute to strengthening the visibility and influence of cancer nurses nationally and reinforcing the critical role nurses play in delivering high-quality, patient-centred cancer care.
