The session will open with a consumer perspective, offering valuable insights into lived experience after cancer treatment. Attendees will then gain an overview of the Northern Cancer Service Survivorship Care Program, including care for individuals with treatable and non-curable cancer, national data and definitions, patient outcomes, and the importance of sustainable, collaborative models of care.

Key clinical topics will be explored throughout the session, including evidence-based approaches to managing fear of cancer recurrence or progression, with a focus on screening, assessment, referral pathways, and emerging training opportunities.

The session will also include practical strategies, such as the role of exercise in cancer care, as well as managing common survivorship concerns such as memory, concentration, and sleep.

The program will conclude with a forward-looking session on the role of cancer nurses in survivorship care, highlighting career progression opportunities, nurse-led models of care, research, and key position statements shaping the future of practice.

Overall, the event will rovide practical knowledge, evidence-based insights, and real-world strategies to support cancer nurses in delivering high-quality, person-centred care across the survivorship continuum.
