Dr Pammie Ellem
Education Manager
Dr Pammie Ellem is a dedicated and accomplished Registered Nurse with extensive experience across rural and remote healthcare, academia, and professional leadership. Her clinical expertise spans acute and community care, with a particular focus on Breast and Prostate Cancer, Palliative Care, and Aged Care.
Pammie has held diverse academic roles in undergraduate and postgraduate education, research supervision, and clinical liaison. Her PhD research led to the development of a peer support model titled “Connecting the Unconnected”, designed to support geographically and professionally isolated health practitioners. Building on this work, she created a face-to-face practicum for emerging specialist nurses in rural and remote areas, enhancing access to cancer care education.
As Associate Director at ANMAC, Pammie has contributed her broad clinical and academic experience to the accreditation of nursing programs, ensuring future nurses receive high-quality education and are equipped to deliver best practice care.
Pammie is passionate about mentoring nurses pursuing research and higher education, supporting both Higher Degree Research students and collaborative research teams.
