Investing in Cancer Nursing: Celebrating Our 2026 CNSA Grant Recipients
This year's recipients reflect the diversity and strength of cancer nursing across Australia. Representing metropolitan, regional and remote services, they work across a range of clinical specialties and care settings, each bringing a commitment to improving outcomes for people affected by cancer.
Congratulations to our 2026 grant recipients:
- Yvette Gomez – Cancer Care Coordinator, Alice Springs Hospital
- Zeina Hayes – Research Nurse, Bendigo Health
- Amy Tipping – Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Consultant, Calvary Mater Newcastle
- Kate Edwards – Gastrointestinal Clinical Nurse Consultant / Cancer Care Coordinator, Calvary Mater Newcastle
- Eva Gauci – Clinical Nurse Specialist – Oncology, Goulburn Valley Health, Shepparton
Whether developing new models of supportive care, strengthening research capability, advancing specialist clinical practice or implementing service improvements, each recipient represents the leadership, curiosity and dedication that defines cancer nursing.
CNSA is delighted to support these nurses in their professional development and looks forward to sharing the outcomes of their projects and learning with the broader cancer nursing community.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Slater and Gordon for their ongoing support of the CNSA Grant Program. Their partnership creates valuable opportunities for cancer nurses to develop their practice, lead innovation and contribute to better cancer care across Australia. As CNSA's key legal partner, Slater and Gordon are strong advocates for both cancer nurses and people affected by cancer, and we are grateful for their continued commitment.
Congratulations once again to all of our recipients. It was fantastic to see you so engaged at the CNSA Annual Congress and we look forward to receiving your reports and hearing about how you've disemminated your knowledge.
