Celebrating Ellen Heywood's Continued Leadership as Vice President
Having previously served as Co-Vice President and making a significant contribution to CNSA through her leadership on the Board, Ellen brings valuable experience, insight and a deep commitment to advancing cancer nursing across Australia. As Vice President, she will continue to work alongside President Professor Gemma McErlean, the Board, members and partners to strengthen the profession and advocate for high-quality cancer care.
Reflecting on the role, Ellen says she is most excited about helping shape the future of cancer nursing at a national level while supporting the incredible work CNSA members do every day.
She is passionate about ensuring cancer nurses have a strong voice in influencing policy, workforce development and models of care, while creating opportunities for nurses at every stage of their career to develop, lead and contribute to improving outcomes for people affected by cancer.
Ellen is equally committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive and forward-thinking organisation that supports members and strengthens the impact of cancer nursing nationally.
"It's an opportunity to give back to a profession that has given me so much and to help ensure CNSA continues to be a trusted and influential voice for cancer nursing in Australia."
We warmly congratulate Ellen on her continued leadership as Vice President and thank her for the passion, experience and commitment she brings to the role. We look forward to working alongside her as CNSA supports our members and advocates for cancer nurses across Australia.
