Cancer Survivorship: Allied health and nursing approaches – a focus on head and neck cancer

This session on survivorship care for people living with and beyond head and neck cancer. Together with the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre, COSA, Head and Neck Cancer Australia, CNSA and Cancer Council, we explored practical nursing and allied health perspectives to strengthen multidisciplinary care.

This webinar brought together nursing and allied health perspectives to strengthen survivorship care for people living with and beyond head and neck cancer. Participants explored the early, late, and long‑term effects of treatment, and learned how to apply evidence‑informed interventions to support functional, psychosocial, and nutritional outcomes.

Through multidisciplinary collaboration, the session highlighted the importance of care informed by lived experience, while also recognising the value of community‑based resources available to support survivors.

Together, we are building comprehensive survivorship pathways that go beyond treatment — empowering people to live well after cancer.
