Cancer Connect now available nationally
Cancer Connect includes reliable cancer information, a national Service Finder and links to practical, emotional, financial and peer support available across the cancer sector. Developed by Cancer Council as part of the Australian Government-funded Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program, it builds on the established Cancer Council 13 11 20 support service.
For cancer nurses, Cancer Connect offers a practical resource to support navigation and referral conversations. Nurses frequently identify supportive care needs that extend beyond the treating service — from financial concerns and transport through to emotional support and peer connection — and a national platform can help patients and carers find services that better meet their individual needs.
CNSA will be working with Cancer Council Australia to build awareness of Cancer Connect across the cancer nursing workforce, and further service releases are planned to improve the integration and usability of the platform over time. We encourage members to explore the site now and consider how Cancer Connect could complement their existing supportive care and navigation pathways.
