Board Nominations Now Open – Step into Leadership with CNSA

The Cancer Nurses Society of Australia is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for three Elected Director positions on the CNSA Board. This is an exciting opportunity for cancer nurses to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our profession and contributing to the strategic direction of the national peak body representing cancer nurses.

CNSA is seeking nominations from experienced cancer nurses who can demonstrate competence in areas such as governance, leadership, program delivery, financial oversight, and digital or systems leadership. We are particularly interested in individuals who are passionate about advancing cancer nursing and supporting the continued growth of the Society.

Key Dates

  • Nominations open: Friday 27 March 2026
  • Nominations close: Friday 24 April 2026
  • Annual General Meeting: 19 June 2026

To nominate, candidates must be Full Members of CNSA and be proposed and seconded by Voting Members. Applicants will be required to submit a CV and provide evidence of their experience and expertise aligned with the identified Board capability areas.

We encourage members from diverse backgrounds, practice settings, and career stages to consider nominating and contributing to CNSA’s leadership and future direction.

Who Should Apply?

We invite nominations from Full Members who are committed to advancing cancer nursing and who can demonstrate experience and competence in one or more of the following areas:

  • Senior nursing leadership roles
  • Executive or management positions
  • Committee chairing or governance experience
  • Leading major programs, services, budgets or reforms
  • Digital, data or systems leadership in health or education settings

Applicants will be asked to provide evidence of their experience through examples from professional roles, committees, projects, or formal training.
