The Nurse Practitioner Candidate (NPC) is a Nurse Grade 7 Registered Nurse who is working towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner by acquiring the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills, and clinical competencies for expanded autonomous practice. The NPC is an integral member of the health care team who practices in collaboration with other health professionals to assess and manage patients within their clinical context using nursing knowledge and skills.
