By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Summarise key international updates in lung cancer care and research presented at the World Lung Cancer Conference.
  2. Recognise the potential role of occupational exposure (e.g. dust diseases) in lung cancer diagnoses and understand its relevance to patient advocacy and care planning.
  3. Understand the role of legal services in supporting patients with occupational diseases, including the claims process, entitlements, and common outcomes.
  4. Identify when and how to refer patients to legal or compensation support services as part of holistic cancer care.
  5. Apply insights from case studies to improve confidence in addressing occupational history and discussing support pathways with patients.
