Pharmaceutical companies play a major role in bringing new cancer treatments into practice - but understanding how they work, who to speak to and where nurses fit can sometimes feel unclear.
This practical session is designed for Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice cancer nurses who want to better understand the pharmaceutical industry and how to work with it effectively, professionally and with confidence.
Led by Matt Britland, an experienced advanced practice cancer nurse who now works in Medical Affairs, the webinar will take you behind the scenes of how medicines move from development and clinical trials into everyday cancer care - and, importantly, where nurses can influence that journey.
The session will use practical oncology examples and finish with time for questions and discussion.
This is not about promoting pharmaceutical companies. It is about giving advanced cancer nurses the knowledge to understand the system, contribute their expertise and engage with industry in ways that ultimately support better cancer care.
