Rare Cancers Australia CoP Launch!

In collaboration with Rare Cancers Australia, CNSA is launching the first CoP of its kind, which is dedicated to Rare Cancers. This specialist CoP will provide a community for cancer nurses to jointly explore diverse topics related to rare cancers, to engage with peers, share knowledge and improve outcomes for people affected by rare and less common cancers.

The purpose of the CoP will be to:

  • Build clinical expertise in rare cancers through access to clinical education, peer learning and peer-reviewed research, and national discussions. Enhance collaboration and professional connections among nursing professionals to reduce professional isolation and strengthen a unified clinical voice, building collective expertise.

  • Strengthen system capacity and reach of cancer support services, education, innovations, resources and best practices in care delivery through shared collaborations with partner organisations.

  • Drive innovation, inclusivity, and person-centred care by identifying gaps in the cancer continuum and incorporating diverse patient experiences and perspectives. Advocate and elevate rare cancer priorities across access, equity, and service delivery by aligning clinical voices with advocacy efforts.

  • Build confidence and capability in clinical leadership through increased opportunities for nurses and clinicians to present and share knowledge.
