Dr Sally Reid is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with additional training in reproductive medicine and early pregnancy care.
Sally's passion for this field began as an impressionable young medical student, when a team of midwives in Whyalla encouraged her to deliver babies with them, at all hours of the day and night! Her practice has changed from delivering babies, to helping to create them and she feels privileged to be involved in such an incredible part of life.
From managing fertility struggles, it has become clear that there is still a lot to be done to protect and preserve fertility – even from a young age. Empowering girls to know that their pain is not “just period pain” allows earlier intervention for Endometriosis.
Everyone has the right to understand why their body behaves the way it does and one of Sally's passions is health education. Sally views her role as a listener, as someone who will work with her patients to try and find the answers. She will devise a care plan, based on the best available evidence, that suits each individual. We all face unique challenges in life, however reproductive health is a human right and one that Sally will do her best to help improve for her patients.
