Oncology Nurse Practitioner, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne

Marisa has worked in oncology for more than 25 years, including employment interstate and overseas in both the outpatient and inpatient settings in public and private sectors. She has accreditation as both a breast and lung cancer nurse.

In 2019 Marisa completed her Masters of Advanced Nursing Practice at the University of Melbourne and became an Oncology Nurse Practitioner.

She is a member of Cancer Nurses Society Australia (CNSA), Australian college of nurse practitioner, MASCC and previously a committee member for Cancer Nurse Specialist Practice Network (CNPSPN); she is involved with the nurse practitioner course at Monash University.

She is currently undertaking a research project with Monash University focusing on patient education.

She has twice been nominated for HESTA nurse of the year.
