Survey | An opportunity to take part in Phase 2 of the NEAT CARE study

We invite you to take part in the NEAT CARE study - a nursing research project being led by Mei Krishnasamy, Professor of Cancer Nursing at the University of Melbourne. The purpose of the study is to explore whether an education resource for the Nursing Equity Assessment Tool (NEAT) is fit for practice in regional cancer care settings.

Creation of Accessible Resources and Education supports | (The NEAT-CARE study) - Phase 2

The NEAT was developed to help cancer nurses quickly identify patients who may need extra help or referrals to support services. It was created with and for nurses and is made up of 18 yes/no questions. The NEAT has the potential to help standardise assessment and reporting of medical and non-medical (social determinants of health) factors known to negatively impact cancer outcomes and experience of care.

If you choose to take part in the study, you will be asked to complete the newly developed online education resource (approximately 30-40 minutes). Following this, you will be directed to a brief evaluation survey (approximately 5-10 minutes).

The link below will allow you to read more information about the study and direct you to the online education resource if you wish to take part:
