Nurse Clinical Lead – Melanoma and All Cancers

Our ideal candidate:
- RN with NMBA registration
- Postgraduate cancer nursing qualifications
- 3+ years’ melanoma/oncology experience
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing melanoma and oncology nursing expertise around treatment pathways and protocols for melanoma and other cancers referencing the McGrath Model of Care
- Working with the Nursing Program team to ensure consistency of information and support for MCCNs
- Offering specialist melanoma knowledge to the Nursing Program team and the greater McGrath Foundation team
- Providing clinical knowledge and support (monitoring and mentoring) to MCCN’s caring for people with melanoma and other cancers.
- Giving insight to the Nursing Program processes and provide feedback on areas of opportunities.
What you bring to the role
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a cancer nursing specialist who is motivated and excited to play a key role in sharing their oncology nursing expertise and evolving the McGrath Model of Care as we take our care to all cancers. The ideal candidate has the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Registered Nurse and has registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Tertiary Education qualifications in cancer nursing, ideally at Master level
- At least 3 years’ recent clinical experience caring for people with melanoma and other tumour streams
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
- Ability to develop and deliver program and education content for the Nursing Program team and MCCN cohort
This role is a permanent part-time position, working 4 days per week (0.8 FTE). Working remotely is an option with the ability to travel locally/interstate as required.
