Nurse Clinical Lead – All Cancers

To provide you with some more detail, key responsibilities include:
- Providing oncology nursing expertise to the McGrath Model of Care around treatment pathways and protocols for cancer nursing
- Working with the Nursing Program team to ensure consistency of information and support for MCCNs
- Sharing specialist clinical knowledge with the Nursing Program team and the greater McGrath Foundation team
- Monitoring and mentoring to MCCNs caring for people with cancer through providing clinical knowledge and guidance
- Applying expertise and professional experience to provide insights into the Nursing Program processes and offer feedback on opportunities to strengthen these processes
What you bring to the role:
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a cancer nurse specialist who is motivated and excited to play a key role in evolving the McGrath Model of Care as we take our care to all cancers. The ideal candidate presents the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Registered Nurse and current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Tertiary Education qualifications in cancer nursing, ideally at Master level
- Minimum 5 years’ recent clinical experience caring for people with cancer (solid tumour types)
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
- Ability to develop and deliver program and education content for the Nursing Program team and MCCN cohort
