We're hiring! Education Manager / Experienced Nurse Educator - Remote / Work from Home

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a flexible, fully remote role with national impact. As the Education Manager, you’ll take the lead in developing and delivering relevant, high-quality professional development opportunities for CNSA members, including webinars, podcasts, and online learning modules. You will support our mission to position CNSA as a thought leader in professional development for the cancer nursing workforce, and lead the validation and content mapping for our new Cancer Nursing Education Portal. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you’ll play a key role on the CNSA team and work in close collaboration with the Education Standing Committee as a co-opted member. Together, you’ll ensure that all educational initiatives are aligned with member needs, best practice standards, and the strategic direction of the organisation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment, and a high level of digital literacy. A willingness to engage with emerging technologies will be highly regarded as we continue to innovate in the delivery of cancer nursing education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management of new, and existing education programs of work - planning, developing, delivering and evaluating engaging, evidence-based CPD, including webinars, podcasts, and learning resources.
  • Develop tailored learning pathways that address the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care
  • Provide education leadership and expertise and act as a clinical resource to the CNSA team and provide mentorship for CNSA members across all stages of their careers.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure educational content aligns with national standards and workforce needs.
  • Partnering and collaborate with both workplace education leaders, and workforce - providing workplace education outreach virtually or onsite as feasible
  • Lead the validation and content mapping for CNSA’s new Cancer Nursing Education Portal.
  • Drive innovation in cancer nursing education and contribute to national advocacy and leadership in this space.
  • Serve as a co-opted member of the Education Standing Committee, contributing to strategy, research and direction in partnership with the committee and CEO.

This is a 12-month position, working 0.8 FTE (60.8 per fortnight) and offers flexibility.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration with a current annual practicing certificate.
  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in cancer nursing is essential; Master's level qualification preferred.
  • Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating evidence-based continuing professional development resources for nurses.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a professional role model in supporting the professional development of others; and establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Passion for supporting professional growth, mentoring others, and creating equitable access to learning—especially in regional and rural settings.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ demonstrated experience in developing, delivering and evaluating evidence-based CPD resources
Highly desirable

A post-graduate level qualification in education is highly desirable, along with strong digital literacy, an interest in emerging technologies (including AI), and familiarity with online learning management systems (LMS). These skills will support the delivery and continuous improvement of accessible, high-quality cancer nursing education across digital platforms.
