Join this dynamic team - The Specialist Tele-health NET Nurse will be located in Tasmania, is responsible for the further development, navigation, coordination and implementation of NECA support and information services for people diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancers (NETs) and others affected (partners, family members, friends). NECA’s current information and support programs include:
- The centralised Information and Referral service, whereby NECA responds to support and awareness enquires via phone, and website, from the community.
- Web-based and printed information materials including Neuroendocrine tumours: A guide for patients and carers, Neuroendocrine tumours: A guide for Health Professionals, Nutrition and Neuroendocrine Tumours, and the Neuroendocrine Tumour Treatment &Wellness Care Plan, a suite of Fact Sheets.
- Community-based Consumer Forums and Information Sessions.
- NECA’s webinar program, delivering specialised information online.
- NECA’s national network of support groups, including participation in training, supervision of support peer volunteers and/or oncology social workers.
- NECA’s Facebook Private Discussion Groups, providing peer support and connection with over 2100 + members.
