MAGIC-Onc recommendations for appropriate vascular access device selection. MAGIC, unicorns or expert clinical guidance?

9am – 4pm AWST, 17 June 2026 ‐ 7 hours

Pre Congress Symposiums

The latest topic of the CNSA vascular access guidelines detail recommendations for selection of the most appropriate vascular access devices for individual cancer patients and their therapies in collaboration with the patient. International guidelines, MAGIC-Onc, detailing pragmatic guidance for clinicians for device selection were published in late 2025 for the cancer population. This pre-congress symposium will take a deep dive into the international recommendations, discuss potential relevance and implementation for patients with haematological and solid malignancies, and within the context of diverse Australian healthcare settings.

Objectives

The symposium will include presentations by the VAD SPN, live interactive polls, guided discussions, case study presentations and finishing with a Q&A.
