As La Roche-Posay and the Alfred Cancer Program share a common vision for patient-centred care the speakers for today’s breakfast session, Sue Bartlett and Monica Guha, will share their unique insights titled “Protecting skin, preserving dignity: the nurse’s role in prevention, assessment and intervention”.

Sue Bartlett is a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner at Bayside Health. Sue will be presenting on immune and targeted therapy related skin toxicities, available resources, and tools to assist with grading and management. Sue will then present a Case Presentation to demonstrate application in practice.

Monica Guha, a Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Consultant will speak about radiotherapy treatment, its mechanism of action and effects on skin. Monica will share her experiences on radiation-induced dermatitis including grading and management and speak to radiation recall. She will also deliver a case presentation to demonstrate application in practice.
