The Cancer Nurses Society of Australia (CNSA) was founded in 1998 by a dedicated group of cancer nurses, as the Nurses Group of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA). Today CNSA stands as an independent body for cancer nurses in Australia and is governed by a nationally elected President and National Executive Committee. Testament to the strength of the society, many founding members remain involved in the activities of CNSA today.
The President (formerly known as Chair) of CNSA is committed to the shared vision, mission and objectives of the society and represents its members by promoting the professional contribution of nurses in all aspects of cancer care. The President role has been ably held by an esteemed group of cancer nurses since its inception.
